Terms of Service

These Terms cover your use of Signed at app.great-life.org. They are a contract between you and the operator of this website ("we," "us"). They add to the great-life.org Terms of Service, which also apply, including their sections on disclaimers, limitation of liability, and binding individual arbitration and the class action waiver. If the two conflict on something about Signed, these Terms win.
1. What Signed does
Signed tracks death-certificate cases for funeral homes. It shows the state's deadline for the certifier, sends faxes and emails to the certifying office you name, and emails the family members you add when you change a case's step. You stay the filer: we never log in to any state death registration system, and we never sign, file or change a record for you.
2. Your account
You must be 18 or older and authorized to act for your funeral home. Keep your email account secure; anyone who can open your sign-in emails can open your account.
3. Your responsibilities
- Enter only accurate case details, and only for cases your funeral home is handling.
- Enter only office fax numbers and office emails for a certifying physician, medical examiner, coroner, hospice or facility. Never a personal cell or home number.
- Add a family member only if they asked to hear about the case, and remove them if they ask to stop.
- Use the notices only for the pending record they describe. Signed may not be used to advertise.
- Check deadlines yourself. The state clock is a guide built from published law and may be incomplete or out of date. It is not legal advice.
4. Notices we send for you
When a case is with a certifying office, we send that office an informational notice on your letterhead: a fax on day one and day two and a formal notice on day five, plus email where you gave one. Notices stop the moment the case moves past that step, closes, or the office changes. You authorize us to send these notices in your funeral home's name.
5. Free trial and price
Your first 14 days are free, with every case, fax and email included. No card is needed to start. After the trial, Signed is one flat monthly fee per location ($99 a month at launch), with no per-case fees. Signed shows how many trial days are left, and nothing is charged unless you add a card. If you add a card during the trial, the first charge is on the day the trial ends. We never pay or accept any payment per case or per referral.
6. Your data
Your case information belongs to your funeral home. We use it only to provide Signed, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can close cases and ask us to delete your account and its data at any time.
7. Availability
Faxes and emails depend on carriers and receiving machines we don't control. We log each attempt and its result on the case so you can see what happened, but we can't promise any office will read a notice or sign by a deadline.
8. Ending
You can stop using Signed at any time. We may suspend an account that breaks these Terms, for example by sending notices for a case it isn't handling.
